Holkham Hall Beach is a gem and we’ve rated it our top gay beach. It’s a stunningly beautiful beach of fine crushed shells, with dunes and a nature reserve and woodland behind. Lots of action here, especially on warm, calm days. Can be windy and there is a long walk.

Studland Bay is another beautiful pure sandy beach with a nudist area. Plenty of action in the dunes and woodland behind the beach. Great fun getting there on the chain ferry at Sandbanks. Very clean water. This gay beach is a real gem, and can be very popular.

Druridge Bay is a sweeping sandy beach with excellent water quality. Not quite as much action as the top 2, especially if not a hot day. Cruising takes place in the dunes or in the car park.

4 St Osyth Beach, Clacton-on-Sea, Essex

St Osyth is a very popular gay beach, and is within reasonable driving distance of London too. You can find the cruising area at the end of the beach and if you fancy a dip after you’ve got excellent water quality too!

Hayle Towans beach is a part of a much larger beach stretching 3 miles along the north cornish coast near St Ives. Not only a great beach, but a very cruisy spot too - the dunes are a great place to make out, but keep an eye out for dog walkers.

7 Corballis Beach, Donabate, Dublin

The dunes have it for this gay beach - that’s where you’ll find the action. Watch out for golfers as there is a golf course nearby. Corballis Beach has a mixed crowd - busier on sunny afternoons and evenings.

Fairlight Glen is a pretty beach at the foot of the South Downs - the cruisiest part being to the right of the beach as you face the sea. There are lots of rocks and coves to explore, as well as other things ;) Steep walk back.

Morfa Dyffren is a very popular gay beach with a diverse queer crowd. The cruisiest area is in the dunes (surprise surprise). Good beach, nature reserve too, but let down by mediocre water quality.

    I think the police have more pressing matters to worry about than this.
