Stop spammers on Mothership Gay Dating
Unlike many of our competitors Mothership Gay Dating offers 100% free messaging to all members - you can send as many messages as you like without paying to upgrade your membership.
One of the downsides of this is that it makes Mothership attractive to spammers - because they are not limited to sending 10 messages a day, they can copy and paste hundreds of manipulative, insincere messages designed to hook the unwary into a relationship that will eventually result in fraud.

Mancentral have threatened Mothership Gay Dating with legal action over remarks made on Mothership about the Mancentral ‘promise‘ over its ‘100% free’ messages.

In a recent post in the Mothership Blog (which followed a Mothership Gay Forums post made by a Mancentral member) I followed up on questions that were raised about Mancentral’s prominent home page statement that it was ‘100% free’ to contact other members. In fact only 10 messages can be sent for free in a 24 hour period, after which Mancentral members must pay.
Mancentral’s PR manager Lee Martin emailed Mothership requesting
that you remove this inaccurate and damaging information immediately

A gay couple from Mothership
Those who know me will tell you I’m a mild-mannered, tolerant, patient gay man who looks for the best in people, and would far rather praise than find fault. Well, not for this post. I feel the need to be critical about all those less scrupulous gay men on gay dating sites who variously dub themselves bi-curious, bisexual or in a gay relationship.
