X-rated photos on your profile can turbo charge your experience on Mothership Gay Dating.
Gay Personals Need Regular Non X-Rated Photos
Before I chat about the power of X-rated pics, I’d like to bring out my favourite old chestnut about loading regular non X-rated photos to your gay personal (online profile).
You should ALWAYS load at least one picture of yourself to your profile - preferably a face pic. Why?
* You’re much, much, much more likely to get approached by other guys, even if you (mistakenly!) think you’re nothing to look at!
* You will be respected more in the chat rooms and Motherboard gay forums
* Your private messages won’t get the dreaded auto-reply ‘No pic, no reply!’!
* You won’t get filtered out of searches by guys who select ‘photos only’
* You’re more likely to get rated, crushed, hotted or cooled
* You’ll feel more committed to finding who you’re looking for

About the New Profiles on Mothership Gay Dating
New profiles on Mothership Gay Dating
All Mothership Gay Dating members now have new profiles.
Our old profiles had several problems. One of the biggest annoyances with the old profiles was that guys could set their text colour and background colour to be the same or very similar, which made some profiles impossible to read. Now all profiles have the same text/background colour.
Another issue with the old profiles was the list of category headings even if the category was blank. This looked messy and pointless. Similarly ‘View Controls’ has been confusing to our members from day 1. Read the rest of this entry »

Out goes:
- View controls
- Themes
- Colour pallettes
- Hard to read text
Please note we have axed ‘View Controls’ - this gave you the ability to display or hide parts of your profile. However, most guys found this confusing so now if it’s loaded, it’s up. So take a moment to check out your new profile, and if you’d like a section removed, simply delete all the content in that section and it will auto-remove. Keep Your Gay Dating Real – Fake Photos Out!

One of the occasional problems with online gay dating is when guys use photographs of other guys. The anonymity of the Internet makes this practice easy, and short of gay dating sites demanding photo ID (which would be commercial suicide) we’re stuck with controlling the problem rather than eradicating it.
However, the practice is still relatively rare, and there are a number of signs you can spot when you’re suspicious of another member’s photo.
Photo Does Not Match Online Personal Stats
This is the biggest giveaway. If eye colour is listed as ‘blue’ then a photo of someone with brown eyes clearly isn’t them. Other common errors include hairy/smooth, height, hair colour and even ethnicity.
If they have any X-rated pics up, you’ll be surprised how many fake photographs show a cut or uncut penis, when their stats list otherwise! Read the rest of this entry »
