UK Gay Chat Rooms a Little Safer

A Gay Chat Room on Mothership Gay Dating
A middle-aged woman from Welwyn Garden City is over £80,000 richer after targeting gay chat rooms in her search for victims to defraud.
Joan Wood, 53, used a number of ruses and aliases to pursuade her victims to part with their money. A St Alban’s Court was told that Ms Wood conned people right across the UK after befriending them first in gay chat rooms, and leading them on into thinking she was pursuing a relationship with them.

But isn’t it just too easy to type-cast the moderator? In actual fact, gay chat rooms can be subject to several distinct moderator types:
Gay Hitler
The gay Hitler possesses zero tolerance. Nothing gets by the gay Hitler, and nothing is forgiven. One transgression, and you’re banned for life with his caustic remarks ringing in your ears. Never cross the gay Hitler! You will be brought to account, and your online chat will be summarily executed.
Needless to say gay chat rooms moderated by the gay Hitler tend to be quiet, and not much fun! But at least the rules are obeyed, as they must be, at all times. Read the rest of this entry »

Gay Chat in Flames
One of the less attractive aspects of gay chat sites is when members argue amongst themselves. When the argument turns nasty, and angry, it becomes an internet phenomenon called ‘flaming’. All gay chat sites experience flaming, but ultimately this behaviour is bad for the site. Read the rest of this entry »
