A former Mr Gay UK who killed his lover and ate his flesh has been unsuccessful in getting his sentence reduced.

The chef and former Mr Gay UK 1993 Anthony Morley, 36, had appealed against the length of his 30 year sentence at London’s Court of Appeal.  However the court upheld the original sentence saying there was nothing wrong with it.

In April 2008 Morley invited Damian Oldfield, 33, an employee of Bent Magazine, back to his house where they had sex.  Afterwards he attacked Mr Oldfield by stabbing him repeatedly and cutting his throat.

As if that wasn’t gruesome enough, he then cut some flesh from Mr Oldfield’s thigh, diced it, seasoned it with fresh herbs and fried it in olive oil and tasted it.  Later Mr Morley walked into a

Mr Morley denied murder on grounds of diminished responsibility, but Leeds Crown Court found him guilty of murder in October 2008 and sentenced him to 30 years.
