Swedish Pop Group BWO Ups Gay Appeal with New Track ‘Right Here, Right Now’

Marina Schiptjenko of BWO
The Swedish electro pop group BWO (Bodies Without Organs) has always been a hit with gay guys - even performing at the prestigious G-A-Y nightclub on two separate saturday nights in 2008.
Now, their new single Right Here, Right Now has upped their game considerably with a catchy disco/trance tune and clever video to match.
The Swedish band, described as the missing link between Abba and Kraftwerk by band member Alexander Bard, are bringing their unique brand of artistic electro pop to an ever growing worldwide audience.
The band members include Alexander Bard who brings a wealth of musical and artistic experience to the band, keyboard player and influential Swedish art dealer Marina Schiptjenko whose dramatic appearance is a huge hit with her gay fans and lead singer Martin Rollinski who won an audition for the role.
Speaking to GT magazine Alexander Bard said
“Marina is amazing, she’s my only fag hag. The thing about her is that she’s one of europes biggest art dealers and she plays synthesizers in BWO, its just a great mix. She refuses to sing, she will only speak on the records. She’s the Margaret Thatcher of pop.”

Latest news: Alexander Bard is forming another band ‘Gravitonas’ but don’t worry he is still committed to BWO - more here

Seeing the video of BWO’s new single, Right Here, Right Now for the first time here, must say I think it’s great. Would have thought the Pet Shop Boys lent some inspiration - it makes you want to dance, and is catchy and uplifting. Like Marina’s space alien look (very Mothership), though I don’t know about the “Margaret Thatcher of pop” label. It’s probably a reference to the aloof, icy and uncaring look she’s cultivating. Curly-haired lead singer Martin is a cute contrast, which works well. Think we can expect good things from this band.
