Ben & Jerry's gay-friendly Hubby Hubby ice cream
The ice cream company Ben & Jerry’s have renamed their Chubby Hubby ice cream to Hubby Hubby to celebrate the fact that gay and lesbian couples can now get married in the ice cream maker’s home state of Vermont, USA.
Ben & Jerry’s have always had a lasting commitment to social justice and gay rights, and the ice cream maker wanted to make a tangible expression of support for this important milestone for the local LGBT community. Ben & Jerry’s teamed up with Freedom to Marry in this venture, an organisation that promotes gay and non-gay marriage equality across the world.
Enough LGBT politics. What about the ice cream?
Chubby Hubby, now Hubby Hubby, is described as follows: fudge covered peanut butter filled pretzels in vanilla malt ice cream, rippled with fudge and peanut butter. Nom nom nom!
